The power control of wind turbines is usually realized via a change in the pitch angle of the rotor blades. Pitching facilitates the exact control of the turbines and the reliable deceleration of the rotor when required. Pitch movements can moreover be used for load control. One of these methods is called individual pitch control (IPC). IPC controls the blades individually and brings about a significant reduction in the fatigue loads and extreme loads placed on the structural components, while at the same time reducing the yield of the turbine only slightly. The lower loads reduce material costs, and thus, the cost of energy (CoE) is reduced, despite the slight reduction in yield. The method is nevertheless not used everywhere since the additional movement cycles put the rotor blade bearings in particular under stress. Special attention must be paid to small amplitude oscillating movements, which carry a high risk of inducing surface damage in the rolling contacts of the blade bearings. This paper uses a cycle analysis of the IWT7.5‐164 reference turbine to illustrate the differences in the movement patterns of wind turbine blade bearings with and without IPC. Moreover, model calculations with single contacts are used to show which of the movement patterns carries a risk of inducing surface damage. The use of IPC leads to the expected load reduction at the blade root. In current literature, IPC is usually assumed to have a negative influence on the life expectancy of blade bearings, but the findings of this study contradict this. The summed blade bearing movement is increased, although the number of very small pitch angles occurring is reduced. This reduction reduces the risk of wear in the blade bearings.  相似文献

Interactions of hexamethylenetetramine ligand in atom transfer radical polymerization initiated by activator generated by electron transfer were studied. Polymerization of methyl methacrylate was done using two-step experimental procedure in 2 L emulsion batch reactor at 50, 60, and 80°C. The selection of reactant ratios was quite challenging for a reactor of this size. Replicate runs were conducted for data reproducibility purpose. Gravimetry method and gel permeation chromatography were used to determine monomer conversion, Mn, and PDI of polymer samples. PMMA produced was also characterized by means of dynamic light scattering, Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy and nuclear Magnetic Resonance spectroscopy. Results showed high monomer conversion up to 93% and Mn ranging 243–274 kg/mol with PDI from 1.45 to 1.60. Besides, combining HMTA with sodium dodecyl sulfate, an anionic surfactant, a well-controlled polymer with a lower Mn of 201 kg/mol and PDI of 1.56 was obtained in 3 hr reaction time.  相似文献

Monolith reactors are widely considered as an alternative to the conventional trickle bed reactor. For the commercial deployment of monolith reactors, comparative performance studies are required. Reliable comparative and performance studies require a detailed understanding of the effect of phase distribution/maldistribution on the performance studies. In this work, performance and comparative studies were carried out in a relatively large column that was 4.8 cm in diameter. Experiments were performed in the same conditions that were used in studies for which phase distribution data were available. Since the properties of the catalyst used were different in both the reactors, the apparent kinetics were studied to facilitate the comparison. The hydrogenation of alpha-methyl styrene (AMS) was used as a test reaction. From the performance studies, it was found that the effect of maldistribution on the performance was stronger than the catalyst availability. From the comparative studies, it was found that the monolith reactor with maldistributed flow conditions provides higher productivity than the trickle bed reactor.  相似文献

Due to increasing energy requirements for buildings, thermal insulation composite systems (TICS) have been used to insulate building facades since the 1970s. In view of the longevity of these composite materials, there has been an increased amount of TICS waste in recent years. Since there is no current recycling concept for these systems, an enormous resource efficiency potential remains unused. Glass-ceramics based on lithium-alumo-silicate glasses are commercially important for a wide range of applications, due to their special properties, like a vanishing thermal expansion. In order to tailor these properties, the composition of the glass and the temperature/time schedule are crucial factors. For the industrial production of most lithium-alumo-silicate glasses, high melting temperatures are required due to the high viscosities of the respective melt compositions. In this study, a simplified lithium-alumo-silicate glass composition with ZrO2 as nucleating agent, on the basis of the commercially available Robax® composition, is studied. Adding boron oxide leads to lower viscosities of the glass melt and notably lower melting temperatures may be supplied. The resulting glass is investigated using X-ray diffraction and transmission electron microscopy. During the crystallization process, phases such as ZrO2 and β-quartz types are formed. The microstructure of the glass ceramics is notably coarser than that of glass-ceramics which are obtained from lithium-alumo-silicate glasses of standard compositions. EDX-analyses indicate a considerable enrichment of chemical elements in comparatively small areas of the microstructure. Especially boron oxide is found to be enriched in the residual glass of the investigated glass-ceramics.  相似文献

A novel batch plant for supercritical CO2 applications is proposed which is not equipped with expensive components, such as high‐pressure pumps, making it particularly suitable for bench‐scale use. For the first time, the use of a hanging scale is suggested to weigh the amount of CO2 required for the experiment and the use of the thermodynamics to reach the working conditions. The rig is able to cover different applications, e.g., aerogel drying, impregnation, and extraction, showing high flexibility. An approximate cost analysis has been performed considering as a reference a 150‐mL vessel. It has been calculated that both the setup and running costs are considerably lower than the common batch and semicontinuous rigs.  相似文献
